24 May

* This week, change as many ‘I must’, or ‘I have to’ into ‘I want’. Write down the effects of it.

** Dream about who you are: who do you want to be in 10 years? Think of three steps in that direction.

Ha, my new tasks. As I said yesterday, I really hoped these tasks were a little more challenging. And they are! At least I find them very interesting! Any other news since yesterday? Not really. Things feel a little out off these couple of these. Tense, as if a lot is happening. Also I keep messing up the days because of the Monday of and things like that. I don’t know, well whatever it is. I don’t think I can change it so I will just go with the flow.

Task 23: I don’t have to, I want to

This is a very fun task. Keep track of every time I say ‘I have to’ and replace it with ‘I want to’. As a friend of mine pointed out yesterday, I should be sincere when I say ‘I want to’, otherwise I should not say it. Well, that is of course a fair point so I will keep that in mind when I go through life in the next week thinking about what I want instead of what I have to do. Let’s see how much I want to do next week.

  • I want to have a meeting for my internship in Nijmegen
  • I want to visit my grand parents there as well
  • I want to write on my lovely book
  • I want to go for a jog
  • I want to go to work
  • I want to meditate every day for at least 10 minutes if I manage

Hm, that’s about it, but I am sure I will find some other things. And I will keep track.

Task 24: Dream about the future

Who do I want to be in 10 years? Where do I want to be and what do I want to do? Very interesting questions and as a student, (still a student, although almost done), it all seems so unsure. I could go anywhere, I could be anyone, I could do anything. Well, the picture I have in my head about my future doesn’t go further then three years from now and even the next upcoming months are not a 100% sure yet. I also learned my fair lessen about making plans for the future because somehow we always encounter situations in life that would could have never foreseen. Which is of course also what makes it all so interesting. Anyway I will think about it this week and let you know my conclusions in my next post!

Have a great week! Enjoy everything single bit of it, especially those moments that we take for granted so often. And remember you do not have to do anything, but you want to do most!

Love,

Anne-Sophie
